A Message for the New Year

The end of 2009 marks both the end of one of the most difficult years in American history while also giving us the optimism that comes with the beginning of a new year. We all know the freedoms and liberties that have been seized from us by the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and Harman. This new year will bring America to a cross roads in its great history. Will the American people continue to stay home on election day? Will this new age of conservative protesting turn into real action? Will Americans put their money where their mouth is? Will the American people slam the door on freedom and continue down the current path to Socialism? Will the American people express their anger at Members of Congress around the country while re-electing their own? Will Americans accept the out of control spending that threatens the future opportunities of our children and grandchildren? Will Americans let the government trample on the Constitution and ignore Articles 9 and 10 of the Bill of Rights? Will Americans stand for Congress passing any legislation they do not have to abide by?
I sincerely hope that no was the answer to most of these questions. It is time for all Americans to stand up, get involved in politics, contribute to campaigns, and hold politicians accountable. There is just over 5 months until the primary where we in California will choose the candidates we want to run in the November elections. These weeks will go by very quickly and the time to get involved is now.
My friends and fellow Patriots I believe the Constitution is the governing document for our nation and should be followed, period. I believe our Representatives should actually represent their constituents, which does not mean selling their vote for any project or program. I believe we should elect members of the community who are servant leaders, not people who simply run in search of power. I believe that being a Member of Congress is not a lifetime career and all Members must live by the same laws they pass for the American people. I believe the government must balance its budget and stop mortgaging our children’s future. I believe the government should get out of the way of business by reducing regulations and lowering taxes. I believe the government should lower the tax burden on the American people. I believe we must become energy independent. I believe we must maintain our sovereignty and not agree with any treaty or UN resolution that threatens our sovereignty in any way. I believe in the creativity of the American people. I believe in the entrepreneurial spirit of the American people. I believe America has nothing to apologize for. I believe America’s best days are still ahead of her and I believe in you!
